There’s still time to be the first to own the all new Scion FR-S!
The Scion FR-S is definitely a vehicle to get excited about. Now, as we all know, the Scion tC (especially the Release Series) has been the sportiest model that Scion offers. So, I applaud Scion for finally coming up with an exceptionally awesome looking sports car that can be classified with these classics: MR2, Supra, and the LFA. The basis for making the Scion FR-S roots from the Sports 800, 2000GT and the Corolla GT-S. With the FR-S being built on the accumulation of history of those awesome cars, we better believe that the FR-S will be epic.
Today, January 12th, Scion will officially launch the http://www.scionfirst86.com site where FR-S enthusiasts will be finally able to possibly reserve one. The special “First 86″ program, modeled after the Toyota GT 86, which is what the car is called outside North America, will help put drivers in the driver’s seat before the actual release in late spring.
Between 12:00 p.m. and 8:06 p.m. EST on January 12th , these are the only hours the site will function. Scion will be randomly choosing 86 people to receive the FR-S before anyone else. Check out the site.
The Scion iQ Debuts in Richmond, VA… Now That’s SMART!
The Scion iQ is comparable to the ever-so-famous Smart Car ForTwo. What is different about the Scion iQ is that it sure does have two front seats, BUT it also has two back seats. Now, the back seats are made for one adult and one child, but we here at McGeorge Toyota managed to buckle-in FOUR adult men inside the Scion iQ. Believe us, it’s possible! There is a 3 year/36,000 mile basic warranty on the Scion iQ, with a 60,000 powertrain warranty. Unlike the Smart fortwo, the Scion iQ offers a steering wheel tilting adjustment, a bench rear seat, an automatic transmission, and as a standard feature- the Pioneer stereo system. So the question is… Why would you want a Smart fortwo when there is the Scion iQ?!
